Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco – Acclimatization
Upon your arrival at Cusco Airport, our staff will be waiting to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
After check-in, you will have the rest of the day free to relax and begin acclimatizing to the altitude. We recommend taking it easy during your first few hours in the city and enjoying a relaxing walk through Cusco’s historic center.
Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour
After breakfast, we will begin our excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, one of the most important and beautiful regions of Cusco.
During the tour, we will visit some of the main attractions of the Sacred Valley, where you will learn more about the history, culture, and architecture of the Inca civilization while enjoying impressive Andean landscapes.
At the end of the tour, we will return to the city of Cusco, where you will spend the night.
Day 3: Cusco City Tour
On this day, we will explore the city of Cusco and its main tourist and archaeological attractions.
We will visit some of the most representative sites of the former capital of the Inca Empire, as well as important archaeological sites located around the city.
In addition to discovering the history and culture of Cusco, this day will also allow you to continue acclimatizing before beginning the Short Inca Trail.
Day 4: Short Inca Trail – Beginning the Hike to Machu Picchu
Today you will begin one of the most memorable experiences of your journey: the 2-day / 1-night Short Inca Trail.
During the hike, you will follow part of the historic Inca Trail while enjoying impressive mountain landscapes, nature, and archaeological sites located along the route.
This option is ideal for travelers who want to reach Machu Picchu on foot along an authentic Inca route but have less time available than is required for the Classic Inca Trail.
At the end of the day, you will continue to Aguas Calientes to rest before your visit to Machu Picchu.
Day 5: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco
On this day, you will visit the legendary Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
You will enjoy a guided tour of this extraordinary archaeological site, where you will explore some of its most important sectors and learn about Inca history, architecture, and culture.
After your visit, you will return to Aguas Calientes and later board the train back. Upon arrival at the corresponding train station, you will continue by transportation to the city of Cusco.
Day 6: Cusco – Beginning the Journey to the Manu Cultural Zone
We will begin our adventure into the Peruvian Amazon by traveling from Cusco to the Manu Cultural Zone.
During the journey, you will be able to observe the gradual transition from Andean landscapes to ecosystems with increasingly lush vegetation and greater biodiversity.
This day marks the beginning of a completely different experience, surrounded by nature and the extraordinary natural richness that characterizes Manu National Park and its surrounding areas.
Day 7: Manu Cultural Zone – Nature and Wildlife
We will continue exploring the Manu Cultural Zone, a region renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity.
During the day, you will have the opportunity to enjoy nature, observe different species of flora and fauna, and discover some of the ecosystems that characterize the Peruvian Amazon.
This experience will allow you to discover a completely different side of Peru, surrounded by tropical vegetation and wildlife.
Day 8: Manu Cultural Zone – Return to Cusco
After enjoying a final day surrounded by the landscapes and biodiversity of Manu, we will begin our return journey to the city of Cusco.
During the trip, you will once again be able to appreciate the transition between Amazonian and Andean landscapes.
Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be transferred to your accommodation to rest after this unforgettable experience in the Peruvian Amazon.
Day 9: Cusco – Free Day
You will have the entire day free to relax or continue exploring Cusco at your own pace.
You may use the day to walk through the historic center, visit markets and handicraft shops, buy souvenirs, enjoy local cuisine, or simply relax after the different tours completed during your journey.
Day 10: Cusco – Airport Transfer
At the previously coordinated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to the airport.
With this service, our 10-day journey through Peru comes to an end after experiencing Cusco, the Sacred Valley, the Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, and the Peruvian Amazon.
