Itinerary
CUSCO – CUSIPATA – RED VALLEY – VINICUNCA – CUSCO
We begin our Rainbow Mountain ATV Tour with hotel pickup between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. We will then travel for approximately 2 hours to the town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast.
After breakfast, we will continue our journey. After approximately 1 hour of driving, we will arrive at Red Valley, where our ATVs will be waiting for us. At this point, our guide will provide a short safety briefing and explain how to operate the ATVs.
Once everyone is ready, we will begin our ATV adventure through impressive Andean landscapes. Along the way, we will make short stops to enjoy views of snow-capped mountains, local communities, llamas, alpacas, and the colorful scenery of the Peruvian Andes.
After approximately 1 hour of ATV riding, we will arrive at the Red Valley viewpoint. From there, we will begin an approximately 40-minute hike to reach Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca.
Upon reaching the top, we will have enough time to enjoy the scenery and take memorable photos of the spectacular Rainbow Mountain and the majestic Ausangate Mountain.
Afterward, we will return along the same route to the place where we left the ATVs. From there, we will travel back to Cusipata, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch.
Finally, we will take our transportation back to Cusco, arriving between approximately 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The tour ends approximately two blocks from Cusco’s Main Square.

- Comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities.
- A change of clothes, as the ATV ride can be dusty.
- Buff, scarf or face covering to protect your nose and mouth from dust.
- Sunglasses or protective eyewear to protect your eyes from dust and wind.
- Windproof jacket.
- Warm clothing for the early morning.
- Gloves, scarf and warm hat.
- Waterproof jacket or rain poncho.
- Comfortable, closed and sturdy footwear; trekking shoes or boots are recommended.
- Sun hat or cap.
- Sunscreen.
- Water bottle.
- Light snacks such as energy bars, fruit, chocolate or cookies.
- Wet wipes or tissues.
- Camera or smartphone.
- Portable charger or power bank.
- Personal medication.

Office Location
Our office is located at 392 Calle Triunfo (the street is also called Sunturwasi), inside the Centro Artesenal Arte Inka Building, which is on the corner across the street from the Museo Arzobispal and the Twelve-Angled Stone, by a small fountain. We are on the second floor, in Suite 209.
