The Importance of Conservation and Visitor Experience

The updated fees are implemented to finance the conservation, recovery, maintenance, and security of our National Cultural Heritage. While these fees may represent an increase in costs for visitors, they are crucial to preserving these cultural gems for future generations and enhancing the quality of services provided.

The Ministry of Culture has considered promotional fees and discounts for various groups, including:

  • Individuals aged 60 and above: Those aged 60 and above can enjoy a 50% discount on the entrance fee.
  • Voluntary military service personnel: Members of voluntary military service can also access a 50% discount on entry to these places.

These discounts reflect the Ministry of Culture’s effort to make these cultural treasures more accessible and promote greater inclusion.

A Future of Exploration and Discovery

Despite these changes in entrance fees, Peru remains an incomparable destination for history, culture, and nature enthusiasts. Every visit to an archaeological monument or museum is an opportunity to learn and appreciate the richness of our past. These updated fees serve as a reminder of the importance of caring for and preserving our cultural heritage, ensuring that future generations can marvel at it too.
